Hello subscriber,
I had a most special Valentine’s Day, with my fiancee, who is currently stationed overseas. By now, after about 8 years together, I already consider her to be my wife.
How about you? Was your Valentine’s Day, at least, “a good one”, too?
As I had told you that I would do, I looked up information about the origins of our celebrated Valentine’s Day. Don’t forget, this holiday is a Church holiday. There are also many Saints in Heaven. Clearly, there are many people on Earth, who at this time of year are more jealous of others. It’s also a time of year where some men and some women begrudgingly “celebrate” it, because they hate love. Many rebel against it. Some, are amidst the pain of a former lost love. Some people are lonely; and/or are not on good terms with their spouse (if married). And, others rebel against the commercialization of the holiday. They all have a point, to some degree.
I read this great article, published yesterday, and I share it with you: https://www.scotsman.com/heritage-and-retro/heritage/who-was-st-valentine-and-what-did-he-do-story-of-the-patron-saint-of-lovers-and-why-we-celebrate-valentines-day-3124900

To all the lovers out there, congratulations!
