For anybody who utilizes registrar and domain-server companies, you know as well as I do that not all of the companies are alike.
Also, smaller companies merge, or contain satellite servers in various cities and countries.
Some of these smaller companies then, after having branched out geographically, merge.
I had website-server-service with Enom, LLC, company, for years, until they merged with Tucows (Canada); and, they (both) then began to dodge customer-service responsibility, cause trouble for me with my host, with my CPanel Admin, and consequently I experienced many technical difficulties and difficulties restoring/transferring my pages-data.
I began to work only with HostingU, (rather than Tucows/Enom, LLC), which did save me for a while, but HostingU then followed Enom’s example and began to lack in service the same way as Enom had done prior. Even billing me and ignoring emails, while not providing service; and, then the race was on to salvage and restore my data, with new company(ies).
So, be very concerned about your website and domains, as soon as a company ignores your customer-service requests and/or technical support requests.
