with some due respect, why Ms. Clinton is not right:
Watching some of the hearings of Mrs. Hillary Clinton, there are lies clearly, for which she disassociated herself from, in her past job. This is a public revelation to us that rightly angers people who are held to strict standards with consequence in their own professions. Her political constituency support, obviously is rallied by her… those who lack respect for the presidency as a job that require honesty to the people above all. We speak truth to power in contrary. And much of the powerful are speaking truth to her. The US President is there to serve, and not offer deflections and excuses, when they know that simple admission is called for. While Ms. Clinton has ability to demonstrate intelligence, and make no mistake thinking that she is not, there lack some competencies that others in her own party demonstrably have more than she. It’s easy to see this even if you are less intelligent.
In the military and in executive positions, to name two powers, these would be of consequence to the person normally. But, her supporters who find a deep personal bond to her, are ignoring that she is accountable to us. America, those of you who think she’s still eligible, its time to awaken from a fog of blind allegiance to her!
Lies have directly had consequence in this Libya investigation, that somehow should be considered as acceptable for such a post for possibly eight more years? No!
While such a probe may seem mean, be mindful of the fact that she is not exempt from government and constituency scrutiny of this kind, given the recent illumination of these facts that are important in showing character.
There is no more important time than now, before our next election, to expose her inadequacy for a public post that should have nothing to do with personal vindication for her State Department controversies, including financial scandal. How serious of consequence lies are, in positions of tremendous power, as the US presidency.
Americans are called into question at work, for the most minor of offenses; and some of us hold ourselves to standards that others do not. How much more this is required, of officials who have become spoiled and expectant of privilege and power. Ms. Hillary Clinton has failed to come across as sincere during this hearing and I question her ability to lead us from where we now are.
I dare say that a presidential hopeful such as herself, parade in relativism and theatrics, all for the purpose of deepening the support of those who similarly to her, believe she is the focus of out of place chastisement – which is not the case.
A job as this, cannot overlook mistakes of tenure. It is already far to controversial in her case, as she accept notes from her aid during the hearing. Her competence must be held to the same standards that every American should hold iteself to, plus much more.
Being sheepish as a citizen voter, is not the vigilance required for a nation to live in liberty. Even a small lie, of large consequence demonstrates that a presidential candidate is likely not able to uphold the Constitution in service of America. Even worse, is an inability to accept culpability for those lies. That is the first most important requirement of the commander in chief. So while she is tremendously intelligent, she lacks the basics. It’s time for the constituents to recognize that government is to be held with greater accountability. The American citizen is not there to serve her denials and apologies. That is the reverse of what should be.
Dropping out would be the honorable thing for her to do. Her ambitions are a disservice that many years of past she cannot let go of. The first responsibility of the US President, is to put personal reputation aside, not to challenge serious concerns, not to dismiss them as impertinent or irrelevant.
A presidential candidate must not garner sympathy, nor create a facade of being impervious to very real and consequential accusations. One scandal is enough for the American people to fire it’s chief or imprison him or her; but certainly not invite into further power by way of election. The opposition has every right to call her continued leadership potential into question. It’s time to realize that while an 11 hour hearing may seem like heroics on her part, the simple matter is, that she’s already met disqualification by virtue of the exposition of her dishonesty for which she finds no fault and responsibility. That’s not the kind of president we need. We need the president to not complain about how difficult it is to be the president. Rather, we need the president who is energized
and totally divorced from the politics of more than a decade past. This is fundamental to our distinction of powers. The standards which we face as citizens, cannot exceed the standards that the president must adhere to, whether that president be man or woman.
The post of commander in chief is best met not by a former politician, but by a citizen leader who is not weary by the political workings. That is what has energized her opposition with which I belong to. The distinction of entrenched vs. new politics, stands in our Constitution and a president that respect it, is in the best interest of all Americans. If he or she do not, he or she should not be considered.
