Why Californians have reason to worry:
This week, certain California colleges have voted to raise tuition. Students have protested over this hike because of the direction the decision takes. Families are worried, when private revenue streams in our State, pocket huge profits and reinvest in their efforts to compete with global players. Along with those profits and the tax revenues that are supposed to be reinvested into the State, why then do we require evermore ballot initiatives to drum up dollars? Do not the corporate tax rates, among the highest in the world, satiate the hunger of our State leaders by way of corporation? It most certainly should. Why do we need to fund education and other unionized incorporations at ever higher rates? That’s just it! We don’t! While reasonable levels of taxation are necessary for State funding – everything from police, fire, infrastructure, and smaller but also important public goods, there is a concern that the left establishment in our State wants us to overlook their intentions into the future… as they silently chip away at our rights to own property under fair conditions. I refer again to the Proposition 13, established around the time I was born. If the wealthy class of our State cannot afford welfare programs that the politicians try to sell you (and they have made that fiat to you without our consult), then how do you expect to be able to afford that as a lesser wealthy person? There’s a time to be hopeful, but a better time not to trust false promise. People who have even paid off their homes’ mortgage are worried; and therefore, they have been senior-ranking staunch supporters of “HJTA”. How much more should you be worried, as an up-and-coming home owner? You should be much more worried! But the answer is to vote smart, and to submit petitions with the rest of us, by joining the “HJTA”. “HJTA” might not seem hip and trendy to you, but they are the only force for good, between money grabs and you. If young people in colleges are worried about a 200-300dollar tuition hike, how much more should they and every Californian be concerned, when we are fed the lie that the State government needs even more money than it has already? They don’t need more money. The capital is sitting on huge sums of money – ask “HJTA” – they’ll tell you. So, what’s the push to end Proposition 13? I’ll tell you, it’s the revenge against freedom loving Californians like me and you… which spurns the hostility toward the “first and last” American freedom… home ownership. I urge every person in California, who feels economic burden, to educate himself and herself on Proposition 13. Yes, it’s true that the measure has survived many years with good reasons, and it’s also true that most Californians side with it, even if ignorant on how it’s being denigrated by too many politicians. But, that knowledge alone, cannot guarantee its efficacy and survival for our needs. One or two politicians, perpetuating their tyranny in that form, are enough to chip away at our freedom. And, Socialism or Communism in our State and country, is not the answer. Please educate yourself to Proposition 13. Register with “HJTA”, to submit petitions and allow your voice to be heard! Sign up online. While every year this proposition is defended in the courts and legislature, very successfully both locally and statewide, do not let the politicians turn you against us. They will urge you to fight, for welfare subsidy, and they’ll attempt to rob us all blind. Our fights are the good ones – in court they are costly, as unsung heroes protect your interests. These heroes are regularly tied up in courthouses with tedious, yet oh so very important work. We college students, and we homeowners, do not want to see the liberal elites take away our ability to finance our homes. Lending companies would love nothing more, than for you to pay significant interest on home loans, to pay for 100’s of times the amount that Proposition 13 protects us all from. We cannot be passive on this. If you have a dream of owning a home, raising a family, being able to pay off your home in your lifetime, and retiring, do not assume that politicians will forgive your debts. That is an illusion that every fiscally unsound argument will pitch to you. Use your head, and your college education, to filter through the lies! And get on board with us, to Protect and reinforce Proposition 13. Adding your signature to the regular petitions is part of our strength in numbers. It is peaceful resistance. And, at every election, be sure to understand the money grab from politicians who have had their say, long enough in this term. Elect conservative governors, senators, representatives, council members, and protect your financial well being. We’ll all regret it, if you do not!
