Last Wednesday, the premiere French candidates debated, long and hard. The level of passion was clearly similar to the debates of the recent and passionate US presidential election.

Having watched a re-broadcast for the first time in the USA today, I was very impressed by Mr. Macron, who challenges Madame Le Pen.

Both candidates have very different approaches; and whomever wins, will surely determine a very different France from today’s.

The French will decide who is more worthy of the election, and I congratulate both candidates for their courage in advancing France’s self determination. And, I look forward to congratulating now before Monday, whichever candidate should win the support of the French people. I am pretty certain that the United States will be prepared for whomever shall win.

Having relatives in France, I believe that their votes will determine the future of France in the EU, and their votes will be heard. I am quite interested in seeing the outcome as many others are.
