Know your partner. This post is a relationship-guidance post:<\/p>\n
Friends, sometimes it’s seemingly easier to give up on our committed partner (wife or husband), get frustrated at the first sign of complexity, and to agree in defeat, that, “men are from Mars, and women are from Venus.” (This phrase comes from a book title of the same name). While the phrase has elements of truth, male is meant for woman, and woman for man. Argumentation between them, is “salt of the earth”.<\/p>\n
Voicing the men are from Mars and women from Venus assertion, should have less to do with characterizing the physical origin of the planets. But, it label the glaring differences in the way that men and women generally perceive, process, do, and resolve (among other). In general, many women have manipulated men, and men women. In order to restore balance, men and women, in their committed relationships, have a duty and desire to talk to one another. And, this requires privacy to do so. Furthermore, arguments can serve to strengthen the relationship, teach the other about one, and build trust and understanding between the two. Yes, even if loud and thunderous… like an earthquake, volcanic explosion, or thunderstorm.<\/p>\n
When isolated from the other, which gender might survive longer on a deserted island; and which gender would sooner kill each of its members off? This is a rhetorical question.<\/p>\n
The men Mars – women Venus comment, might have more to do with the way that each gender thinks about things, that is so foreign to the ways of the other. Or, it might mean that men are instruments of war, and women are the masterminds behind our conquests or demise.<\/p>\n
However it is that you might think about “men being from Mars” and “women being from Venus” – the truth of the matter is that, at present, both planets are not yet inhabitable for either or both human gender to expand into.<\/p>\n
So, we live here together on this planet, birth the next generation; and hope to live in decent levels of harmony with each other. Those of us who are married, enjoy every peaceful moment. And, if there are no family units, there is no vehicle for widespread harmony and peace. So, family is integral.<\/p>\n
There is a similarity that men and women share. That is the need to complain or bicker to one another. Sometimes it’s directed at the partner, and sometimes at the outside world. But, the very act of complaining, bickering, or “nit-picking”, can have positive health benefits.<\/p>\n
Usually, argumentation and bickering, in good amount, can help to add passion to the relationship in the bedroom.<\/p>\n
Sometimes a relationship is out of balance. Sometimes, without any bickering, resentment can grow and sublimate if not let out in small amounts. One of the persons might need argumentation in order to retain his or her dignity from the partner. Especially, if one feels unrecognized or undervalued in the relationship. It’s always a good idea within a family, to promote shared responsibility and duty. It’s best for each to learn one’s role, and to delegate who should do what. And, if things get boring, to perhaps re-assign those responsibilities.<\/p>\n
For this reason, bickering can maintain (and fulfill) those ingredients which are necessary for a long and healthy, happy, marriage.<\/p>\n
So, if you hear your neighbors passionately arguing, through your walls – don’t panic, don’t get nervous, they’re working things out for themselves. Unless you witness violence, be glad that the couple is bickering. And, be glad that you don’t have to know what their subject of discord is about. So, that you can do the necessary bickering of your own, with your own husband or wife. It’s a good investment in which you can expect good yields.<\/p>\n
