Mothers are living. Mothers nurture.

These are some of the most pronounced attributes of human and animal life mother-hood, existing across all cultures in the continents that we know of here and now.

So, why do some use the term “mother” in describing our planet? This is a projection. The planet supplies our food, it is certainly a living planet (a “good creation”, though it is not written as having soul) and it nurtures all living things with its fruits and wonders.

Sentimental the human species is, we connote motherly attributes to our planet that feeds us. Many of us are angered when we witness apparent abuses of it as though it were a person; sometimes momentarily forgetting the great “wrath” (figuratively speaking) that can come from this volatile rock.

Others, believe that there is an Earth deity (minor god) who rules over this planet. And, perhaps “she” regulated the planet since its genesis (according to some).

Wouldn’t it be more accurate, however, to understand that Earth is not a living mother nor is it subject to a minor god; rather, that “mother” Earth is ruled by Queen Mary who was appointed and ordained “Queen” with Serpent under her foot (remaining mother of all that is, to this very day)? Calling the Earth itself a “mother”, is simply an affectionate and figurative term.

If we look even beyond the caretaker, Mary, without diminishing her significance in the least bit; and, if we properly believe in creationism with the hierarchy of and within it, then we examine a step closer to find a deeper realization: that “mother Earth” is not even a mother in human gender construct – rather a father. The Father. The Father of all, who created our planet (and who appointed Queen Mary), is indeed the “mother” of Earth. It must be additionally noted, that She is not to be diminished for her role as mother, sister, wife and daughter – the Divine one true mother of God Himself, the second person of the holy Trinity.

Who is “mother” Earth, you may ask?
