This entry is about finding freedom. And, I spotlight an organization that helps.<\/p>\n
I begin with the premise, in context, of the recent world news of the impending doom (“end”) of ISIS front lines… at the military battles located in dangerous and hostile regions (so we are told). We, have reason to consider our armies successful, as they have been fighting years long wars at our government’s command, with taxpayer funds, in the war against non-peaceful Islam and radical ideologies of the radical Imams and fundamentalist warlords. Sadly, the wars against us by radical Islam and even moderate Islam continue, particularly as they infiltrate Christian dominated regions and countries. Many of our communities of shared faith continue to be slaughtered. It is a genocide. And, much innocent life is taken at personal cost to them and human right. These wars can either overcome us all, or we can fight their twisted ideology! For some, the war is waged by physicality and lethal nature. But, the war is also of the mind… rife with lure.<\/p>\n
Is it right for allied nations who sacrificed over these years to command our forces (and continue as geographies change), who supplied our forces with tactical and material support, who sent our relatives and family members to far away places, to believe that we have achieved complete victory? No. But, we can certainly think about what must be done next; and take the victory that God has given, as our encouragement. Many youth might consider themselves defeated. Recruiters of ISIS are still in our midst and elsewhere. But, the true victory will come when we can get Bibles into the hands of people who wish to save themselves and convert! The Bible is that which teaches the true path to peace. Many among us forget. They weaken us. The Bible that says all wrongs have been made right at the Cross, and that God wants all to come be with Him, is the only Bible that recognizes the dignity of every person; and on top of that, also provides the complete manual for one’s success. There is no other way. And, while His favor rests upon some of us today more than others, the truth is that He wants all persons to come to grips with His reality that becomes ours.<\/p>\n
I cannot declare military victory against any contortion of religion; and I do not command the US military. If you are reading my posts to find military exploit, you’ve come to the wrong place. I cannot think of myself on such a level of grandeur. I do however, point to the victory at the Cross. We all should celebrate that, rather than aim to destroy life.<\/p>\n
And, victory can be achieved in more person’s heart and mind, with proper teachings and help every day. That is rehabilitation in the truest sense. Obviously, military defeat at a front line, is the practical way in changing a confused and obstinate mind and heart of one who has been brainwashed into “jihad”. But, such action becomes obsolete in a just world… guided by The Savior of us all.<\/p>\n
Many people in North America and elsewhere today, are of the belief that if you are ISIS inspired, you are mentally ill. While it is true that you can be considered infected by ill formed ideology, a person can be reformed by medical and religious guidance and community support. If however, the person reject such teachings that point to peace and harmony, then he or she is crossing a line into criminality and opposition. Moreover, that is a criminality that is glorified. Better to die, than to participate in such evil, so says the true Gospel teachings.<\/p>\n
And, that rejection needs not be tolerated by anyone. We are so proud of the young people today, who reject such evil. Those who study hard in school, who desire utilization of their talents, who become who our creator desires are the apple of God’s eye! There is great hope for those who do not give up. As is often said, “it can be darkest, just before the dawn.” Illness can be conquered. Evil can be stamped out. We all have the choice to reject evil.<\/p>\n
I would like to point to an organization located in the USA (OpenDoorsUSA.org<\/em>). Their organization name is: “Open Doors”. They recently sent me a letter, with the header line saying, “Muslim Extremists Coming to Know Christ as Their Savior”. This to me, is vindication for every person involved, who had the courage to fight ISIS in whatever capacity they had and have. And, for everyone who maintains the control. What courage, exhibited by former Islam followers in regions dominated my Islam! Prayer, is certainly not one of the least of these “weapons”. The Mother of God can bring victory and ends to war, like none of us can. And, God’s will is always done through us with purpose and meaning when we ask Him for guidance. This is one reason why military chaplains have such an important role to play also. I knew one before his assignment, and he is very valued by brothers and sisters among priests.<\/p>\n This organization “Open Doors<\/em>“, does what it says. It opens doors for people who become blessed to come to know that our Christian (and Hebrew) Bible, is the key to personal and community freedom. As a descendant of Nazi Germany, it is in my elders’ great celebration, that allied forces brought defeat to fascism and imperialism in Europe in the 1940’s. Like a convert from ISIS, it is Christianity that becomes the hope and cornerstone shared by “Open Doors<\/em>” and people like me. Opening the door to personal and collective freedom, cannot be achieved without education, nor without belief in Bible teachings. OpenDoorsUSA.org<\/em> sends Christian bibles to people in many countries of the world. And, importantly noted, it sends them to people who want them and need them.
