My dear friends, you and I have not known the answers to every burning question that we encounter in our life’s journey. Either in arrogance, we claim to know the answers to everything, when in truth we don’t know it amidst our emotions. Or, in ignorance, we never take a stand for anything that matters. All of us have leaders whom we look to for answers. I too. We should all study the Gospel for definitive truth.
\nI have given advice in the past, that may have confused you. And, I am sorry if that is true. I would like to admit, that with my brothers and sisters, there have been times when frustration and hatred have compromised my mission. We believe that the presence of hatred in the heart, cause us to violate life. This makes us no more virtuous than our enemies who wish to kill us. I quote our Pope Francis: “Let us say once more a firm and clear ‘No!’ to every form of violence, vengeance, and hatred carried out in the name of religion or in the name of God,”. This means that we have a challenge before us, to forgive those who burn, crucify, drown, torture, and decapitate our brothers and sisters. We in the Church, are one body; and there is no doubt we are under severe attack. Our enemies “win”, if we cannot forgive them. Are we justified in bringing war to them? God is the final judge of this. And, I cannot pretend to be innocent and unblemished. Innocence has been taken and given.
\nWhy do I love Easter so much? One reason in addition to Christ’s paying of our ransom, is because we await the Holy Spirit which comes at Pentecost. Pentecost is end of May (31) in modern day, and for that reason, we Christians celebrate Easter all the way through… not only during Holy Week. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
