Today at the United Nations, Russia has vetoed a multi-national effort to launch a probe investigation, into the chemical attack that occured earlier this month in Syria.<\/p>\n
Sadly this is the outcome, in today’s effort to investigate the source of the chemical assault which has failed.<\/p>\n
Of course, we must realize that this chemical assault is one act of violence that is among many acts of violence that has been among the treachery of the ongoing civil war, for which many groups have reportedly dropped bombs and chemicals.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, as discouraging as it is, today’s vote should not be a pretext for abandoning the cooperation that is simultaneously being worked out on this very same day, between Russia and the United States; by way of negotiations, with regard to military actions against the common enemy, ISIS.<\/p>\n
It is likely to assume that in war, no one is entirely innocent of crime. For that reason, and because I personally should not determine who guilty parties are, I would simply like to encourage and thank all political leaders – who genuinely work through all disagreement with Russia, in order to put aside short term personal gains and instead invest in the long term strategy that will effect the safety of Christians and other peace loving people in Syria.<\/p>\n
I find that in this point in time, the best thing that I can do personally, is to pray for leaders and for all vicitms of war worldwide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
