Free markets live.

Every nation’s leader has responsibility to his or her people; to foster the well being of the people, guarded by the legal structure of governance. We here in the USA have a tradition of capitalism, which is no secret to much of the world. Other countries have relied on their traditional means of military rule, religious autocracy, royalty, and so forth. Every country is unique. Many people through history have frowned upon capitalism, considering it callous and imperialistic. Some have therefore favored communism. Free market capitalism has yielded many benefits including acts of charity. Cuba, with a tradition of communism, and in certain aspects atheism when you look at the early ideology of Mr Castro himself in his youth, had a leader who embraced opposition to capitalism. He not only opposed it, but led a revolution, with an iron grip upon his people to fight. Charity may also have been deeply on the mind of Mr. Castro.

The decades long leader of Cuba, has died. Burdened with the task of delivering survival to his people, and maybe even hope for opened markets, Fidel leaves behind an opportunity for his people to thrive with a milder opposition to the USA. It is reported that Fidel Castro lived quite a lavish lifestyle while his people lived in poverty. Is that admirable? Is it the aim of communism to establish a kingship? Or, is his alleged wealth simply a by-product and consequence of having exceptionalness? One source, that goes into detail of this, is: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/may/21/fidel-castro-lived-like-king-cuba

As every leader around the world, Fidel has ruled according to a social contract with his people. Arguably wanting wellness for his people in the way of social services, he has opposed many of the ideals which the USA has long embraced: one example is private corporation. In some ways, he has been praised for delivering to the needs of his people in the shape of patriarchy. He has long considered North America an ideological enemy. An enemy that should institute state operated services.

Our country has helped many people who are not Christian. So, when we look at acts of charity, the act is not confined to helping people of just one religion. This is an American attribute that has served the world in many ways.

The United States, with a long standing tradition of capitalism, witnesses the death of Mr. Fidel Castro. So too, has Syria witnessed the death of Fidel. Why do I bring up Syria in relation to Castro’s death? Because Syria, is a region where we see so much conflict that is attributed to holy war. Why do we offer asylum and refugee status in the USA to militants, when we have Christians in Syria who have been suffering tremendously? We also see rebel forces seeking to dominate regions with their militant Muslim absolutism. While countries have vastly different forms of government, levels of wealth, and great ethnic diversity, the world must stand together in putting down armies that seek to undermine and annihilate Christians. Trying to stamp out Christians and impose ancient militant Muslim rule, is a threat to the whole world.

We have a responsibility to Christians in Syria, to assist President Assad with the military effort there to fight rebels and ISIS. Why would we dare to hope this? Because, once there is safety, we can deliver aid. Mr. Assad will be appreciative of our free market economy and freedom of religion in the USA. He will be grateful that we stand with him in fighting terrorism. Christianity is the vehicle with which lives are empowered most. Christianity tolerates and welcomes all peaceful people; the USA has the responsibility to protect its own. To be an example, for opportunity to those who have been confined to the politics of their region as a circumstance of wars.

Every nation’s leader has responsibility to his or her people; to foster the well being of the people, guarded by the legal structure of governance.
