That is true. Cyber-security threats can be orchestrated. That is also true. Do you want a president hopeful to have the option, however, of creating a both insincere and played-up exaggeration of these threats to our cyber security? I assume that you agree with me, that the answer to that hypothetical question is “no”. Is that not a risk when considering Mr. McAfee as a viable candidate? He has said some things about cyber threats he wants to safeguard us all against. First of all, I reply to that supposition with: most people’s cell phones operate from cell towers and satellites, which are secure and will remain so. So, don’t fear major cell phone disruption. Our Internet too has servers, that have the world’s highest security standards in mind. Remember also, that the Internet traffic itself, flows globally and legally… now also in Cuba…. meaning that a block in any of the globe’s main server hubs, would be an international concern for all the authorities of the world. So, keep your fears truth-based and rational when it comes to Internet and communications integrity with regard to function. Candidates stoking fear? It sounds like that is Mr. McAfee’s strategy today for himself. Now, that’s a sure thing among certain candidacies. Because, politicians tend to capitalize on fear. Because Mr. Trump by comparison does not do that, he resonates with many. By the way, I am not a politician, but I do care about people. Back to the topic of fear stoking, of cyber threats… that would be a practice of holding extreme power over our citizens with the mal intent of manipulating the fearful, for financial and political gain. Sure, it might drive a continued steady flow of income for Mr. McAfee’s corporation and other software giants, [if it is true that Mr. McAfee were that self serving, and I don’t know him]; and, while a software guru might not be the villain that we see in hacker movies or on the healthcare.gov site, do you really want to take a chance in playing into the hand… that he would save us all in America, from Internet shutdowns? Separate of that, is he really anything close to comparable… to the competency or better, as Mr. Trump demonstrate on all topics near and dear to the “silent majority” in our country? Mr. Trump is so on target, it’s celebration. Remember friends… we also don’t want other countries dictating who our president should be. You won’t find me voting for Mr. McAfee (for example) no matter what country outside our border would have us governed by and for. I’m a person who cares very deeply about Internet access, and usage rights, so I find Mr. McAfee’s candidacy interesting but not serious. The Internet harvests creativity and spreads innovation and education around the globe… empowering men, women, and children in even the most impoverished locales. No doubt, it is imperfect, yet even the light bulb was in its inception an excluded good to those who had no electricity. Still today, there are regions that do not have electricity sadly. But there are other tools for them today, such as solar panels. And the Internet aids in the distribution and organiational efforts of such development. That is thanks to science and research institutions who engineered it. And, this is not an invention, that was not supplied to us by God himself who gave it to us through our intellect and design. UCLA, in fact, through engineering, deserves the accolade for being the first innovater in this specific area of scientific development. Germany in large part, deserves credit for it as well, as well as individual inventors and developers attached. It is my understanding that the city of Aachen played a key role. Where would human assistance, human protection, and charity, be today… were it not for the Internet? Transactions alone, account for much of the traffic, including charitable organizations and missions. It [Internet] facilitates, it is a resource teaching and enabling mankind to do many great things – reaching many. It engages, it is not passive, it is both exploratory and conducive to economic activity.
\nSo, Mr. McAfee claims that Internet disruption on a large scale and long duration, would upset all communications and create havoc. Of course! So would any disaster caused due to horrible lack of conscience. So would any roadway hazard each day, and so forth. This is desperate political strategy my friends, against Mr. Trump and Mr. Trump supporters. I also have news for all the people who might be overly afraid of cyber threats. Do you think that the USA, with the most highly advanced military in the world, which uses computers for nuclear warheads, has systems that could be hacked? That is highly doubtbul my friends. It’s much more conceivable that some of us citizens’ PC’s will continue to be hacked and hi-jacked. Or that certain citizen’s and groups be targeted as we now have learned to be the case in recent years. That seems certain. But not the entire Internet being disrupted. That would be cutting the line, cutting the aid to other nations, or grounding all airplanes. As far as mass “outages” that block the Internet communications? That would only be in conspiracy to US citizens, and I would not put all my trust in a man who uses fears to govern, even if he’s an experienced software techie, or software executive. Such a theoretical massive outage could be an intentional self infliction, orchestrated by our own. That is more credible, as we see more often now, stories about purposed leaks of information and concealments of motives in our very own government – when it come to war policies and economic policies. And it saddens me. One hope (of course) that the institutions are looking out for our benefit still… and not just seeing us as a commodity or a pawn.
\nThis very blog server withstands very serious disruptions, and it’s no nuclear warhead, not even close! So don’t vote for the fear monger making you think the Internet will be banished. If, in fact hackers penetrated your online bank, it would be as little consequence to you as a two day government shutdown (assuming the bank upholds its fraud obligations to you and me as law must protect). You get my point in terms of comparative risks? This computer risk regarding servers in the US… not as severe as you might be led to think. So, don’t allow yourself to get distracted in upcoming election shinanigans. Be rational. In fact, your bank has better security than any other utility in your life, likely. So, if a system shutdown should occur, on the scale that Mr. McAfee suggest might be, liken it under that circumstance, to something much more severe, hostile, and nepharious, than a momentary rolling power black out. And, I would suspect a self inflicted disruption is in that way being used [if it were that scale] to alter your vote in a way that might favor the captor in control of the hack, and not your and my liberty protections. Be very weary to accept some sort of supposed “state of emergency”, that would supposedly legitimize drastic loss of our daily routine and safety as it pertain to technology including banking. Any sort of emergency, disrupting our upcoming election… my friends, I would say that all indicators of the source would leave a trail to the current establishment [Mr. Obama’s political group]. Vote with conviction and stand by your man, Mr. Trump supporters – and may more come to support. Defending freedom requires being able to look a bit further than ones own navel toward the future as we now finally are in greater numbers, with a healthy dose of skepticism, toward certain candidates who play the supposed “narrative script”. When you reach a fork in the road… and we have, vote smart and stay vigilant. Those of us who have chosen Mr.Trump, are already on our way! I was very pleased to see him holding his bible at his rally yesterday. Way to go boss.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Cyber-security threats are real. That is true.
