While this is true in the most overt physical confrontations of life and death, in the form of physical battles ideology based, there always has been psycho-social conflicts both large and small between people in the heads of man. By our sheer communicating and thinking, and existing, we experience emotions that are evidence of disparity. It can be postulated that each one of us daily, to some degree, seek to equalize disparities that exist with those around us.

It’s no wonder that we bicker, argue, chide, criticize and all the rest. Since the beginning of mankind, there was man and woman. And man and woman were created to live together. Fortunately for the genders, our world is not occupied by all men, or all women. It’s a pretty astounding success, that we still have a fairly equal balance in number. That in itself is one miracle.

While a lot has changed, in terms of what we might call progress or decline, over the centuries, men and women generally enjoy sharing the Earth with one another. Now, there are those who would rather not have anything to do with the opposite sex; and some rally war against women, or against men, as a whole. And, there are also those who would be incredibly lost without the opposite. This article is focused on a contemporary topic, in a mass media globe: The interconnectivity between privacy or lack of, money, and technology. In societies where these words are on the short list of frequent use, it pays to examine that interconnectivity.

Let’s look at privacy first. Some people seem to want more of it, and others less. The recordings on the Internet and every publication known, testify to that fact. But, for those who seem to need less privacy, is it truly out of ignorance they not safeguard it better, do they not have a choice – in an increasingly outspoken environment in the digital age? Or, are they just openly communicative and expressive whether in speech or exhibition? We cannot deny that publicity has its dangers, but aside from that, let’s look more closely at profit. The component of financial gain derived from selling ones privacy out to the public, can come at a high price. Are some “freaks” just more desperate than the other, to sacrifice privacy in order to gain a relationship, or fame with fortune? Let’s examine the psychology of exhibitionism. All through history, there have been those who wish to exhibit their bodies. And, there always have been those who wish to celebrate that spirit in us, and provide a forum for display of it – take this magazine for instance. Whether the statue of David was carved, the body mummified in order to preserve its function and appearance beyond earthly death, or whether photographed and celebrated, there is one common thread in all of this: a general admiration for the beauty of the human body. Male and female were designed to fit together physically, and in spiritual ways, hand and glove. We not only admire it through a filter on the pages of a magazine or Internet, but we crave it in sex.

At the time of first publication, Playboy magazine was controversial to some, and liberating to others. Some would call it exploitation. Since the date of first publication, today the magazine is generally perceived as soft and tame and was even so then, compared to competing magazines; and the pornography available from the newest technologies such as on disc and on Internet. There is no doubt that pornography today, is a big US business export with global reach.

The history of exhibitionism, validates the claim that there are willing participants; those who choose to be exposed to be seen in the nude. That has not changed, but the means of exposure are now very accessible. That in itself, can increase personal liberation, or captivity. It is undeniably for many, welcomed. At its worst, amateurs fall prey to human sex trafficking, where there is no regard for personal right and well-being. Degradation can follow suit. For that reason, we do need laws to set limits.

The empowerment, as often described by paid exhibitionists, can only be matched by the pleasure derived from being seduced by the beauty. But the money is made by the exhibitionist enterprise. But the price, can be privacy and reputation.
By nature of exposing one’s body, talking about life patterns, or sharing moral beliefs etc., we become susceptible to being manipulated – even when we’re making money from it. And, this can be consequential when it comes to consumer information exploit, personal data theft, corporate malfeasance, workplace injustice, bullying and oppression, and more. When everyone’s talking about what you did, it could be told behind your back at best, but also even broadcast for others to see, read or hear, at worst. This is often the case in many American scandals throughout history. On the most basic level, it happens between feuding individuals, men and women, authoring their public reputation in the courts or outside of the courts. Private moments in the bedroom, become material for expose. There used to be valor, in preserve the integrity of that person. And yet, men and women sometimes figure it is justified to “get even”. We should not be out to wound those whom we have been intimate with, sexually.

With modern mass media, no one really, can be entirely exempt or impenetrable from commercial exploitation. There is, a very prolific tradition of propaganda in place, which continues to make profit from nudity and from publication of it. The key to enjoying it in a democratic America, is to recognize the value of each person, beyond that of sexual product. Whether privacy is lost in tweeting what you’re doing on Twitter, being photographed for pay, engaging in sex for pay, or enjoying the best-of-all sex with your spouse, privacy should not be taken for granted. Most of us, willfully give up some of our privacy, and with good gain; but we should be careful about dispensing sex details about lovers to the public, that the other person once considered private information. Exhibition may come from a place of generosity and pleasure, or it may be motivated purely by self gain. Fairness to one another not only promotes gender equality, but it also advance harmony and sexual well being. This article at its best, will motivate those seeking harmony in a trust-based world, despite the newest benefits and drawbacks both, of our latest technologies.

Privacy – how tell-alls, post relationship, erode the trust between men and women, in a society where intimate details about people who we are sexually involved with, are cash commodities.
