Absurdity of the post-office impeachment:
Friends, now that ‘International Holocaust Memorial Day’ has passed… I hope that you appreciate that you have not been killed by a Holocaust.
Now, today, I’d like to focus back to my country’s current events today.
Some in the US Congress, are still trying to impeach a President that is no longer in service (according to mainstream channels).
That is a direct violation of US law (according to law experts, mainstream news channels, and personal knowledge). Just in case the absurdity didn’t seem obvious to you, yes, it is illegal to pursue impeachment for a President that is no longer serving in office.
This is not only a sign of obvious rage from the opposition; it is also a violation of law. So, yes, to answer your question… the US government is violating law.
Unfortunately, unlike a sporting event where a referee has authority to call out red flags, our nation’s referees aren’t the last word to be heard by some of our most powerful institution members without obvious defiance.
Fortunately, the Judicial Branch has ruled against the Congress. As they should, they announced yesterday that the US Congress cannot impeach a former US President.
How nice it would be, if ALL governors (ALL Representatives) in the Congress actually had the basic knowledge of Constitutional Law. But, today that is not always the case.
Many Republicans in Congress, reportedly, have opposed such lawless actions as an impeachment trial against former President Trump; not only by choice, but, because they’re informed on Constitutional law.
Why do some still seek impeachment a second time? For one, because they did not succeed the first go at it. Not due to legitimate grounds for removal of one from office. Rather, because of their aims at preventing a prior President from running again. But see, that’s illegal. Their efforts are a violation of US law.
