‘Newsweek’ article explains just how late (17 days even) after Nov. 3, final national election results will be tallied

Dear readers, this ‘Newsweek’ article gives a brief depiction as to why the current policy of 34 states is quite prudent. They say, “they will not accept ballots that arrive after election day Nov. 3.” I’ll explain why that is smart.
(Not all states have the same deadlines for submitting ballot).
My state for example, allows for 17 days grace period beyond election day! I don’t find that very democratic. Fellow voters, this is a race! Get your ballots in very early. This will decide our result sooner – in any close and potentially contested results. We’ve had razor-thin victories before; and early voting translates to clearer result (asap) from Nov. 3 – the earliest conceivable date where counting begins. The media wants to announce the result asap; and if we’re all stragglers of casting vote… the media is not going to wait for us!
This is why (although ridiculed for it) our President has voiced concerns. He wants fairness and order.
So, be sure to cast your ballots asap – whichever way you do that. This will give the leaders up and down our ballots a more clear tally, sooner rather than later. This will safeguard, to some extent, from controversy.
