“Ins” and “Outs”. A guide for successful living.
Remember when we were kids in school, and we would talk about what was cool and what was not?
As immature it might seem, setting up social norms is a good way to build up some etiquette, so long it’s not illogical.
So, I thought I should share with you some “ins” and “outs” for Southern California.
IN: spending quality time daily (and undisturbed), with your own family.
OUT: listening to speech from “washed up” former politicians.
IN: “rock and roll” music (it’s back).
OUT: door-to-door sales persons (solicitors); and uninvited strangers.
IN: ‘take out’ and food delivery, from restaurants.
OUT: man hating, male bashing.
IN: studying and acquiring knowledge.
OUT: making fun of disadvantaged or disabled persons.
IN: going to church.
OUT: overly cynical TV show “comedy”.
IN: human rights.
OUT: government overreach or meddling.
IN: law, order, and due process.
OUT: uncool laws and uncool ballot initiatives.
IN: caring well for your dog or your cat.
OUT: doing hard drugs.
IN: shopping online.
OUT: abusing your spouse or your kids.
IN: shopping retail in person.
OUT: calling people you don’t know, for non business purposes.
IN: talking to your immediate neighbors.
OUT: walking around in public with a tablet PC, or, on speakerphone.
There are more, but these are some of the basics!
