Julian Assange. Trial is expected next month, readers. Exercise your freedoms wherever you are, or lose them.
Dear readers, when we stop exercising our rights and freedoms, we lose. When we don’t exercise our rights, and we give up on them… thinking them futile, someone else will take them away from you – that includes any glory for being a champion in God’s eyes against the face of any evil.
Some may question the methods with which freedom fighters defend your freedoms. These moral questions are discussed among people and properly analyzed all throughout history. All freedom fighters, regardless of differentiation in their methods, care about FREEDOM. I add, that without honest journal, freedom dies. There isn’t a single billionaire existing, who has not amassed his or her fortune without the free exercise of liberty. And not one who hasn’t benefited from someone who bucked the trend and defied conventional expectations.
Regarding moral dilemma, as to the methods and means of achieving a truth: Was it just, for America’s militias to kill fellow Americans in rising up against the established authorities and generals – in the civil war over slavery and secession? Was it just, for freedom fighters to take up arms in any armed conflict, ever?
Also, when we honor our military – we’re quick to honor (for which I’m not being critical here and now); but, do we as readily honor their counterparts, who are fighting in different ways than they, for the same liberty? And at great personal risk just the same?
In the arena of journalism, is it morally just for journalists and writers to fear being imprisoned in deplorable conditions world-wide, so that they might be able to bring us access to an article (or a report) that illuminates our own path? Is it morally right, to lock someone away, for blowing the top off of a secret injustice? Is it morally sound to punish those who defend YOUR rights, by imprisoning them and denying them basic necessities and liberties for torturous periods of time?
This post is perfect for today, as we near an announced Julian Assange trial next month. By the way, the very publication of such news of his trial, is a fragment of the freedom that you and I depend on. Don’t take any news feed for granted, ever! Someone with courage, published it, so that you and I can live freely. You might say, that a journalists job and income depends on publication, “so why do they deserve extra honor?”. While that is true, bear in mind, that many journalists face threats and death in this exercise of freedom. Some aren’t even paid! The best journalists, care about expressing truth and reality so that others gain. We all should want to live in a world where our decisions can be based on reliable information. Especially, if our existence depend on it. And, it always does.
So, this February 2020, in what looks to be a trial with Australian citizen Julian Assange, as the defender of human rights, I urge you to consider that he very well may be found guilty of whatever charges are put to him. Would that finding be just? That’s what the court would aim to prove in its proceedings. I’d like you to consider for a moment, that if you deem Julian A.’s methods of information emanation to have been criminal, President Donald Trump may have never been elected president were it not for Julian Assange and his work.
You see, those of us who admire and appreciate Donald Trump in America, are the same people who were tired of the established authority which made idiots out of us. And, we saw the truth that alternate candidates would have been just as bad for us. Julian Asssange’s work, contributed vastly to Donald Trump’s victory in 2016. His work put our success over the steep incline. Many people (both directly and indirectly), were put to work – newly motivated by both these men, to better our country. Julian, Donald, and other freedom fighters you may have never heard of, empowered and motivated people like me, to embrace our own freedom which God gives to us. Remember, as important as respecting our own government should be, our government is second to and under God. That means that the endeavors of man and principles, are guided by God who deserves the highest esteem ALWAYS.
Empowered to fight for my freedom, in a way that is acceptable to my God; to get out the vote, helping to ensure that Donald Trump got elected back in 2016 is my contribution.
If you think that was a small feat, think again. The universe has changed in some great ways, because of informed decisions that I and many others made together. We have no regrets. None of us should ever take that for granted, even if we feel outnumbered at times.
If you care about freedom, I ask you now to pretend that you are Julian Assange; and that you are on trial for whatever freedom it is that you hold dear to your heart. Julian, an Australian, has defended the freedoms of Americans and other nationalities globally. Put yourself in his shoes for a moment, placed in another country, locked up, awaiting trial for having been one of the best whistle-blowers there may have ever been, since the beginning of time. Would you feel that FREEDOM were worth defending, if no one had your back?
Lastly, if by some terrible development, Julian is to be ‘fed to the wolves’ wherever that may be, protest! Send letters to the US President. The President has the power to lawfully pardon a found-guilty person! The courts in my country of citizenship, are one branch of my government. They need to hear from you. So please give this trial adequate attention and be a defender of liberty! No matter where you reside in the world, if he’s found guilty, flood DC with your letters. And remind Donald Trump, that freedom got HIM elected.
