Not only do scientists today disagree on climate change measurable facts, but so do people who know less about science than to be able to call them-self such with credibility. So, there is disagreement (and heated disagreement). But, it is undeniable that storms surge, waters rage, fires burn.
The Earth was the perfect design for humanity. It is our only natural and material home known to us, and it is not only habitat, but full of life sustaining material. Yes, the Earth (our Earth) was created to be mined, subdued, to grow our food, to support our life etc.
But, there is something that we should all consider. Even if the Earth could repair all mining, harvesting, pollution, population etc., we should think in terms of a philosophy. The philosophy is that the Earth is like a woman. We should not exploit it, we should not neglect it, we should not abuse it, we should not disrespect it. It does provide for us. Now the Earth is not a person, but if we do not respect it, we end up destroying ourselves in one way or another. How? By taking it completely for granted under the premise that it is there to serve our evils rather than to provide and sustain our humanity. For all of us.
So maybe we should treat the Earth how we hopefully treat our mothers, daughters, sisters and wives – with respect and a mission to subdue and utilize our planet Earth, but never to demean. There is nothing lost by respecting the Earth according to such philosophy – and the rewards will be measurable no matter what the science is on cause for climate change.
