Movie Review: Disney’s “Mary Poppins Returns” 2018 (PG)
Looking for a perfectly cast, joyous film experience that is sure to light the holiday candle in your hearts?
Visit the Mary Poppins musical film re-make, which delivers a tale of social justice up to date: with color, imagination, tenderness, and charm.
All too often, forgetting what it’s like to have the spirit of a child, this movie will probably help you along (and also remind you that a good and magical “nanny” who returns to the family, sure can help to save the day).
Mixing animation in the original manner, with live action, amazing set design, stellar musical theater, perfect acting, and bright costumes, you will enjoy the product. I got my “spoon of sugar” as I watched it.
Surprise castings add to the fun.
Released into US theaters just in time for the Christmas season, Disney and the crew of the Mary Poppins re-make for 2018, present us this new spun tale. It’s sure to please those of us old enough to know the original version well, yet still be dazzled by this latest version (adaptation).
It’s fun for the whole family. I highly recommend it.
